Kat (she/her) is excited to join the California Alliance team as a Policy and Regulatory Analyst. She began her career in direct service with young people in Oakland, mostly working with teenagers who had experienced high levels of trauma through foster care and the juvenile justice system. Kat's journey eventually led her to Sacramento, where she remained committed to serving in nonprofit organizations aligned with her values, primarily in operational capacities. She held roles such as Staff and Operations Manager at the Planned Parenthood public policy office, and Office Manager at St. HOPE Public Schools.

Eventually, Kat decided to return to graduate school to expand her knowledge in nonprofit management and subsequently widen her impact on the communities that she cares about.

Kat holds a BA in theatre arts from UC Santa Cruz and a Masters in Public Administration from the University of Washington. In her free time, she loves to play recreational kickball, spend time with her two cats and watch movies.
