Ivon Favela

Ivon Favela is the Catalyst Center Training Manager, leading the training team on all course offerings at the center.

Ivon has over 20 years of experience in training, with a focus on foster family development and LGBT+ affirming practices for staff. Before joining the California Alliance's Catalyst Center, she was a trainer and approval specialist at an FFA in southern California, where she successfully trained over 1000 families. Ivon holds a master's degree in public administration from California State University Northridge.

She specializes in training development, and marketing strategies. Ivon is also certified in Non-Profit management, with a specific interest workforce wellness.

At the Catalyst Center, Ivon has significantly increased online course engagement by 62% and played a pivotal role in launching the new LearnUpon course platform and self-paced course catalog growth. Her innovative strategies have been instrumental in shaping the organization's online e-learning presence.

In her free time, Ivon enjoys painting, spending time with her fur babies and relaxing with a cup of coffee and a good book. She believes in the mantra, "I let go of what I do not need."
