Child and Family Services Announces Election of Beth Parsons as Board President
Sacramento, Calif. October 28, 2024 - The California Alliance of Child and Family Services is pleased to announce the election of Beth Parsons as the new President of the Board of Directors. Beth brings over 20 years of leadership experience in for-profit and nonprofit sectors.

Her proven leadership and deep commitment to our shared values will strengthen our ability to support our members and advocate for critical services that impact children, youth, and families across California,” said Chris Stoner-Mertz, CEO of the California Alliance of Child and Family Services.
Currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Youth for Change, Beth joined the organization in 2017 and has been instrumental in driving growth and innovation since becoming CEO in 2019. Her extensive experience in overseeing strategic planning, budgeting, continuous improvement initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration positions her to lead the California Alliance of Child and Family Services with excellence.

Her experience spans both the nonprofit and corporate sectors, giving her a unique perspective on strategic growth and operational excellence. At Youth For Change, she has spearheaded initiatives that enhance service delivery and expand resources for children and families in need. Beth's ability to bring together diverse teams and drive innovation makes her a tremendous asset to the California Alliance as we navigate new challenges in the child welfare and family services sectors.
Beth’s leadership and vision will guide the California Alliance of Child and Family Services as we continue our mission to support and strengthen the foster care system, juvenile justice, mental health services, and youth programs throughout California.
